The Tower HPFILT 28mm Heat Pump Magnetic Filter is designed to protect heat pump and central heating systems by removing harmful debris from system water, helping to maintain efficiency, reliability, and long-term performance. Suitable for domestic and commercial applications, this filter provides effective protection against iron, nickel, and cobalt particles commonly found in heating systems.
Constructed from glass fibre-reinforced nylon and supplied with brass isolation and drain valves, the HPFILT offers durability, ease of maintenance, and long service life. Its 530ml filter volume and double mesh filtration system capture both magnetic and non-magnetic particles down to 300 microns, ensuring comprehensive system protection.
At the core of the filter is a high-strength 12,000 gauss magnet, which efficiently attracts and retains ferrous debris, helping to prevent sludge build-up and reducing wear on heat pumps, pumps, valves, and heat exchangers. Clean system water supports improved heat transfer, contributing to lower energy consumption and reduced carbon emissions.
The HPFILT is supplied with two Ø28 compression ball valves, allowing straightforward integration into existing pipework. Operation requires no external power, and routine servicing is simplified by an integrated drain valve, enabling quick removal of collected debris during maintenance.
Designed to operate at temperatures of up to 90°C, the filter supports a maximum flow rate of 6.9 m³/h, with an operating pressure of 3 bar, maximum pressure of 12 bar, and maximum dynamic pressure of 1.5 bar, making it suitable for modern sealed heating and heat pump systems.
