How it works in practice
Inside the boiler casing the timer module replaces an identical module that provides a volt‑free switching contact to the boiler’s control board. You set the on/off periods by moving the small tappets on the dial to the outer edge for on periods (the tappets are captive so they don’t fall out) and rotate the dial to line up the current time. When the dial reaches a tappet the internal changeover contact operates, completing or breaking the boiler’s control circuit in the same way a room thermostat call would.
