OP-IHTDIGI Digital Immersion Heater Timer – 24 Hour / 7 Day Programmable
The OP-IHTDIGI is a versatile digital timeswitch designed to provide precise and flexible control for immersion heaters and other high-demand electrical applications. Supporting both 24-hour and 7-day programming, the OP-IHTDIGI allows up to 24 ON/OFF programmes with a minimum switching interval of 1 minute, enabling accurate and fine-tuned scheduling.
Designed for surface mounting, the OP-IHTDIGI operates on 220–240V AC and is rated for 16A resistive and 4A inductive loads, making it suitable for immersion heaters and a wide range of general-purpose control tasks. The unit is fitted with volt-free SPDT contacts, providing flexible switching options (link removable if required), and installation is supported by an earth park terminal and cable clamps for secure wiring.
The timer includes a Random mode, which varies switching times by ±28 minutes around the programmed schedule. This feature can be used to simulate occupancy and add an extra layer of security. Multiple manual override modes are available, including Fixed ON, Timed, Fixed OFF, Random, and Countdown, allowing immediate control without altering the main programme.
A running reserve of approximately two months at 20°C ensures that programmed settings are retained during power interruptions, providing continuity and reliability. By enabling controlled heating schedules, the OP-IHTDIGI helps reduce unnecessary energy use, optimise off-peak operation, and potentially extend the lifespan of immersion heaters.
The OP-IHTDIGI is intended for use with resistive and inductive loads and is not suitable for discharge or LED lighting without the use of a contactor. Its combination of digital precision, flexible control modes, and robust load handling makes it a dependable solution for modern time-based control.
